SEAGULL CAFE 2.0
Bars/cafes

The Seagull cafe in Breach Candy Hospital has been revived to become a quiet haven, a deliberate escape from monitors and medicine, where doctors, patients and caregivers can pull up a chair, leave the stress behind and silently refuel their souls. The walls are the colour of fresh cream, holding up sunshine yellow awnings, with simple light tables and chairs, and cheerful artworks within the windows. Natural light filters in from the sky, through white rafters, and the soft glow of overhead lamps bathes the space with lightness and warmth, set against a mural of an endless blue sea, complete with a white picket railing. It feels almost as if the ocean beside is lapping beside your feet reminding you how close the sea really is. It is a soft place to land when the world outside feels too heavy to carry.
